Over the course of seven days (June 24-July 1), in a hand-to-hand exchange, people throughout Colorado will carry the Special Olympics Flame of Hope across the state and hand the torch off to Utah enroute to the final destination, the Los Angeles Coliseum for the 2015 Special Olympics World Games Opening Ceremonies! You can still participate as a supporter by making a donation or come out to cheer on the Relay teams as they come through your area.
For 34 years, thousands have watched in admiration as Law Enforcement serve as Guardians of the Flame, carrying the torch and delivering the Flame of Hope to Special Olympics local and state games. Now, for the first time ever, your friends and families can join you in supporting Special Olympics by helping deliver the Flame of Hope to Los Angeles for the 2015 World Summer Games in the Special Olympics Unified Relay Across America presented by Bank of America. Register a team for this once in a life time event and join fellow Law Enforcement and your community in creating awareness and raising money for Special Olympics!
Note: The 2015 only, this event will take place in lieu of our traditional Tribute at the Capitol, torch run down 16th Street Mall in Denver and many torch runs we have all hosted along the Front Range.
