2015 Class A Volunteer Application online submission option

3. Complete the online Protective Behaviors Quiz
4. When you receive a link from us to complete a Background Check, please complete the form and pay the $16 application fee (occurs once every three years).
After you complete Steps 1 through 4, you will be contacted by our Volunteer Manager Claire Viater who will then get you connected to the appropriate Special Olympics Colorado staff member to get you started. We look forward to working with you!
Our Specialized volunteer positions are outlined below. Once you are approved as a Special Olympics Colorado volunteer, we will visit with you in more detail about your area of interest.
Games Organizing Committee/Area Management Team
Our GOC is responsible for the organization and implementation of a Special Olympics Colorado competition at the Area of State Level. The GOC meets with SOCO staff once a month for three months prior to a state competition. There are various responsibilities on the GOC. Members are needed to help with coordinating specific sports by season, volunteer and families, support services etc.
Join our medical team here at SOCO! We are in need of current or retired medical professionals to be on-site at our local and state events throughout the year to assess and attend to medical emergencies. This team will receive a list of event dates for the year and asked to serve if available.
