About the Event
Join us on Friday, January 18, 2019 for the annual Special Olympics Colorado and Denver Nuggets clinic! Space is limited to the first 100 athletes with intellectual disabilities that register. There are 35 spots for Young Athletes (Under 10) and 65 spots for athletes 10 and older. If your athlete needs assistance on the court ONE parent or caregiver will be allow to assist all other guest/siblings will be asked to remain in the stands
As an energizing lead into the Nuggets Clinic this year the Denver Nuggets will be signing each participant to a one-day professional contract making them a Denver Nugget for the day! There will also be a photo station before the clinic where each athlete will have their own trading card made for them to keep.
TO REGISTER FOLLOW THE LINK BELOW:
The schedule is as follows:
- 12:45pm – Group 1 Checks In
- 1:00pm – Group 2 and Young Athletes Check In
- 1:00 – 1:30pm – Denver Nugget Contract Signing and trading card photo station.
- 1:30 – 2:30pm Basketball Clinic.
- 2:45 – 3:45pm Unified Basketball game Rangeview HS vs. Smoky Hill HS
**All clinic participants are invited to the Unified HS game following the clinic.**
All participants in the basketball clinic will receive ONE VOUCHER PER PARTICIPANT for two tickets to attend the Denver Nuggets Basketball game February 11th vs. The Miami Heat. All clinic participants will also receive a Denver Nuggets t-shirt courtesy of Kroenke Sports Charities.
Please bring your completed waiver, a water bottle, and wear gym shoes.
Families are welcome to attend with their athlete, but should not register online and will not participate in the clinic.
